Analytical Laboratory Technician

Tasks and Responsibilities

Perform analyses related to pharmaceutical product development activities using a variety of analytical techniques and laboratory instrumentation. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

  • Sample preparation

  • Titration

  • Dissolution testing

  • Stability testing

  • Physical characterization of APIs, intermediates, and finished products

  • Out-of-Specification (OOS) investigations

The successful candidate will also:

  • Adhere to laboratory health, safety, and hygiene procedures;

  • Demonstrate proficiency in analytical methods, laboratory techniques, and the operation of analytical instruments;

  • Meet established timelines and priorities;

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to laboratory activities;

  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP);

  • Actively participate in analytical investigations as required;

  • Monitor and maintain inventories of reagents, reference standards, and chromatographic columns;

  • Ensure the general upkeep and organization of the laboratory;

  • Perform analyses according to approved procedures, accurately document results in laboratory reports, and evaluate data against R&D and GMP acceptance criteria under the guidance of the supervisor;

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Laboratory Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related laboratory environment;

  • Bilingual (English and French);

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
